Itinerary
Departs every Monday from Cape Town
Day 1: Cape Town to Oudtshoorn via Route 62
Your journey begins with a departure from Cape Town, embarking on a scenic drive along Route 62 through the picturesque landscapes of the Karoo. After approximately five hours of travel, you will arrive in the charming town of Oudtshoorn. Here, you have the option to visit the awe-inspiring Cango Caves or take a tour of a local ostrich farm. In the evening, continue your drive to Sedgefield, which takes about 1.5 hours, and check in at the cozy Kamma Kai Beach Villa.
Day 2: Nature’s Valley and Tsitsikamma
Start your day with a delightful breakfast at your accommodation. Then, head to the viewpoint at the Knysna Heads for breathtaking views. Afterward, drive to Nature’s Valley, where you can enjoy a beach and forest hike to Salt River Mouth. For the adventurous, optional extras include bungee jumping at Bloukrans Bridge, a forest zipline, blackwater tubing, or quad biking. Alternatively, you can spend a relaxing afternoon at the beach. Later, drive to Storms River Village in Tsitsikamma National Park and check in at Tube n Axe Lodge.
Day 3: Tsitsikamma to Addo
After a hearty breakfast at the accommodation, embark on a suspension bridge hike at Storms River Mouth. Following the hike, drive for approximately 4.5 hours to reach Addo. Upon arrival, check in to Avoca River Cabins and spend the evening at your leisure, enjoying the serene surroundings of Addo Elephant National Park.
Day 4: Addo Exploration and Return to Sedgefield
Begin your day with a satisfying breakfast at the accommodation before setting out for a morning safari in Addo Elephant National Park in your own vehicle. For an enhanced experience, you have the option to join a guided safari in an open vehicle. In the evening, drive back to Sedgefield and unwind at Kamma Kai Beach Villa.
Day 5: Return to Cape Town
Enjoy your final breakfast at the accommodation before departing from Sedgefield for the drive back to Cape Town, which takes approximately six hours. Arrive in Cape Town in the afternoon and be dropped off at your chosen accommodation, concluding your memorable journey.
